7 Warriors Named to All-Sportsmanship Teams

CONWAY, Ark. – The Southern Athletic Association announced their 2013 Fall Sports All-Sportsmanship Teams on Wednesday and seven Hendrix College student-athletes were among those recognized. Sophomore Jeffrey Scott (men's cross country), freshman Dani Ramirez-Aguilar (women's cross country), senior Jennifer Koller (field hockey), redshirt freshman Reid Cone (football), junior Alex Cummings (men's soccer), sophomore Danielle Luther (women's soccer) and senior Zoe Calhoun (volleyball) were each named to their respective sports' team.

Formed in 2011, the SAA places a special emphasis on good sportsmanship and fair play amongst all competitors.

Scott, from Glenwood, Ark., finished second at the Arkansas Division III Championships in October, and placed 21st at the SAA Championships. He earned SAA Runner of the Week honors during the season.

Ramirez-Aguilar, of Dallas, Texas, also finished second in the Arkansas Division III Championships and was 47th at the SAA meet.

Koller, a defender from Woodbury, Conn., ranked fourth in the nation and led the SAA with a school record 18 defensive saves. She also scored on goal on the year. Koller ended her career as the all-time leader in defensive saves in program history. She was an All-SAA First Team NFHCA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team selection this year as well.

Cone, a safety from Greenbrier, Ark., came up with 53 tackles, including two for a loss. He also recorded one interception for 43 yards and broke up seven passes.

Cummings, of Jonesboro, Ark., scored one goal and took eight shots as a midfielder/forward. He played in all 19 games with nine starts.

Luther, a defender from Bellaire, Texas, scored two goals, including a game-winner, while taking three shots.. She appeared in 16 games, making nine starts.

Calhoun, a setter from Tucson, Ariz., ranked ninth in the SAA with 4.75 assists per game. She recorded 394 assists and was second on the team with 25 service aces. Calhoun ended her career with the second most assists in school history.
