Seven Warriors Named to SAA All-Sportsmanship Teams

CONWAY, Ark. - The Southern Athletic Association released their 2014 Fall Sports All-Sportsmanship Teams on Tuesday, with seven Hendrix College athletes among those honored. Andy McCall (men's cross country), Dani Ramirez-Aguilar (women's cross country), Sarah Shklanko (field hockey), Graham Senor (football), Nathan Myers (Men's Soccer), Kacey Hight (Women's Soccer), and Ella Concavage-Nasar (volleyball) were each selected to their respective sports' All-Sportsmanship team. 

Formed in 2011, the SAA places a special emphasis on good sportsmanship and fair play amongst all competitors.

Junior Dallas, Texas native Andy McCall finished in Hendrix's top five in all seven events he competed in this season. McCall finished fifth overall at the Ozarks Invitational with a time of 30:33 (8k) and took fourth overall in the Arkansas Division III Championships with a time of 24:51 in the 4.1 mile race. McCall's best 8k time of the season came in the NCAA Regionals, where he posted a finishing mark of 28:57.

Sophomore Dani Ramirez-Aguilar of Dallas, Texas is featured on the SAA All-Sportsmanship Team for the second straight season. Ramirez-Aguilar finished 10th overall in the St. Scholastica Monastery Meet, crossing in 24:50 (5k), and took 3rd overall at the Ozarks Invitational with her best time of the year, crossing in 20:56.

Freshman Sarah Shklanko of Huntington Beach, Calif. finished the season with two assists and a defensive save, and was one of three first-years to start all 19 games for the Hendrix field hockey team. Her biggest play of the season came against Transylavania in the team's final regular season contest. Shklanko found Brooke Whitaker on an assist for a game-tying goal that helped the Warriors complete a 3-2 comeback win over the Pioneers.

Senior Graham Senor from Fayetteville, Ark. was chosen to represent the Warriors' football team. Along with being on the football team, Graham has been a campus leader. He is a Hays Scholar with a 4.0 grade point average. Graham has served as the Student Senate President and Chapel Music Coordinator. He has also volunteered for the Big Brothers of Central Arkansas. 
 
Freshman Nathan Myers of China Spring, Texas started 11 games in goal for the Warriors. The first-year made 66 saves and earned two wins in net. He earned his first career shutout in a 1-0 victory over Fontbonne University, making three saves to earn the clean sheet.

Senior Kacey Hight of Conway, Ark. made 16 starts in the Hendrix defensive line. The senior battled back from a preseason injury to become an essential member of the Hendrix defense. Hight was part of a back four that posted three shutouts on the season and provided leadership for a young squad.

Katy, Texas native Ella Concavage-Nasar finished the season with 188 digs, and was third on the Hendrix volleyball team with 2.51 digs per set. She finished with 17 aces and was the only senior on a squad that won a program-record 31 matches. Concavage-Nasar helped lead the Warriors to their first SAA title and the team's first NCAA Tournament appearance and victory.
