Hendrix College Athletics

A. Everette Eason ('33) of Emery, Ark. was a standout athlete in football and basketball. He received All-State honors in basketball during the 1930 and ‘32 seasons before earning All-State honors at end in football during the 1932 and ‘33 seasons. Eason was captain of the football team in 1933 and was a member of a Warrior basketball team that lost just seven games during his four-year career (1929-33). After graduating, he played semi-pro basketball for Myers Bakery before pursuing a career in education.
