Chuck Chalfant (’81) of Fayetteville was a standout in swimming, earning four letters as a Water Warrior. He was a key member of four AIC Championship teams earning All AIC honors all four years. Chalfant was also an NAIA All American in swimming for two years. He set and held four AIC records including the 50 yard free style, 100 yard free style, 400 yard medley relay and 400 yard free style relay. Chalfant placed first in three individual events and two relay events in the 1982 AIC meet. In the 1980 meet he placed first in the 50 yard free style and two relay events.
