David G. Teague (’59) of Forrest City was a four-year track letterman and a one-year football letterman. He won the AIC 220 yard dash in the AIC meet in 1957 and finished second in 1956. Teague placed second in the AIC meet in the 100 yard dash helping the Warriors win the AIC Championship in 1958. He lettered in football in the fall of 1958. In the spring of 1959 Teague led the Warriors track team to another AIC Championship by anchoring the first place 440 and 880 relays, while winning both the 100 and 220 yard dash. He was named winner of the Hugh Robertson medal as best all around athlete at Hendrix in 1959. Teague was inducted into the Arkansas Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2012.
