Hendrix College Athletics

Don McDonald, M.D. (Class of 1975) of Rogers, Ark. was a four year letterman in track and three year letterman in cross country. McDonald holds the Hendrix records in the one mile run (4:11) and marathon (2:43). He was named All-AIC in cross country and track in 1975 and was on a team that finished second in the AIC Championship meet.

McDonald placed first or second in every mile run he ran in 1975 except the nationals and logged over 10,000 miles running during his four years at Hendrix. After graduation, McDonald won numerous AAU cross country races including the 1976 AAU Cross Country Championships. In 1978 he placed fifth in the New York City Championship one mile run.
