Hendrix College Athletics

Dr. E. Lloyd Norris, class of '58, of Conway was a multi-sport athlete at Hendrix, earning eleven varsity letters in football, basketball and track. He was a defensive standout and favored pass receiver in football, receiving honorable mention All-AIC honors in ’57. As a roundballer, he led the Warriors in scoring for two years, was selected second team All-AIC once, third team twice and All-State AAU. In track he finished 2nd in the 880, helping his team to an AIC Championship. Recognized as one of the best all-around athletes, Norris was named Who’s Who Best Male Athlete by the Troubadour his senior year and received the Hugh Robertson Best Athlete Award.
