Hendrix College Athletics

Dr. Ron McDonald, class of '73, was one of the premier distance runners in Arkansas in the early 70’s and still holds the 2 and 3 mile records at Hendrix.  At Hendrix he was a four year letterman in track and cross country during one of Hendrix’s best distance running eras.  He was the Arkansas AAU Mile Champion in 1971, the Arkansas AAU Runner of the Year in 1972 and the AIC and AAU 3 mile champion with the best collegiate 3 mile (14:24.9) in the state – the current Hendrix record.
