Franklin “Swede” McCormack, class of ’28, lettered four-years in both football and track for the Hendrix Bulldogs. He was twice named All-State at end in football and at one time held the state record in the broad jump, 220-yard dash, and 440-yard run. McCormack was inducted to the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 1971.
