Hendrix College Athletics

Jerry J. Jeffries ('61) of Fort Smith, Ark. was a four-sport athlete at Hendrix. He lettered three years in tennis, two years in track and field and basketball and one year in football. Jeffries earned the AIC singles championship twice and doubles championship once. Jeffries helped the Warriors to their first AIC Track and Field Championship in 15 years by placing second in the high and low hurdles event in 1959. As a basketball player, Jeffries led the team in scoring his senior year.
