Hendrix College Athletics

John Patterson, class of 1975, was a four year letterman in golf with a stroke average of 74.2. An all-district and all-state high school golfer, he was a member of three Hendrix College AIC Championships. He finished second in the AIC Tournament two times and earned All-AIC honors three times. He was a member of seven state championship teams in basketball, cross country, basketball, and golf at Searcy High School. He later won the Arkansas State Golf Association's match play championship and was a member of the Mid-South Cup Golf team.
