Little Rock’s Ronnie Pyle lettered in football and track & field after transferring to Hendrix from Notre Dame University.

Pyle scored on an 80-yard kickoff return against Arkansas Tech and was the leading rusher in a 1960 victory over Arkansas A&M. He was the school record holder in the 220-yard dash on a straightaway in 1962.

A lifelong runner, Pyle competed in the Arkansas Senior Olympics from 2006-13 and competed in the 2007, 2009, and 2011 National Senior Olympics in the 100, 200 and 400 meter races.

After graduating from Hendrix in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and business, Pyle earned his MBA from the University of Arkansas in 1965. He began his professional career selling life insurance before working for Stephens Inc. in municipal bond trading, underwriting and desk management until 2005. Since then, he has worked as a public finance banker for Morgan Keegan, Raymond James Financial.
