CLINTON, Miss. - The Hendrix College cross country teams raced at the Southern Athletic Association Championships in Clinton, Miss. Saturday morning.
The Warrior men took seventh place, while the women finished eighth.
Sophomore
Nathan Andress was the top finsher for the men with an 8k time of 29:36.57. He finished 49th overall. Freshman
Charlie Terry was 61st in 30:31.07 and freshman
Robbie Kiss placed 63rd in 30:43.31. Senior
Cam Meek had a time of 31:20.67, finishing 65th. Freshman
Graham Anderson rounded out the scoring for the Warriors in 32;13.51, placing 71st.
For the women, sophomore
Caitlin Camper ran a personal-best 6k time of 25:38.28, placing 32nd. Freshman
Mackenzie Gearin was 38th in 26:07.76. Sophomore
Melissa Pizza also had a person best at 27:49.09, finishing 58th. Senior
Molly Halter ran a time of 28:46.05 to take 67th. Freshman
Tel Johnson placed 72nd with a time of 29:15.88.
Rhodes won the men's field with 23 points, followed by Sewanee (49), Berry (87), Birmingham-Southern (115), Centre (135), Oglethorpe (140), Hendrix (228) and Millsaps (240).
Berry was the women's champion with 38 points, followed by Rhodes (44), Centre (61), Birmingham-Southern (104), Sewanee (156), Millsaps (175), Oglethorpe (198) and Hendrix (205).
Both teams will next compete at the NCAA South/Southeast Regionals in Mount Berry, Ga. on Nov. 12.
