Freshman right side hitter Lauren Petrisin was named the Southern Athletic Association Tournament MVP for leading the Warriors to their first ever conference title. The McKinney, Texas native averaged 3.45 kills per set and hit .408 for the tourney. Petrisin, the SAA Newcomer of the Year, hit .476 with 25 kills in a four-set win over Birmingham-Southern in the finals.
