Below is the poem "Definition of a Warrior", authored by men's basketball alum Colten Primm. Primm was inducted into the Hendrix College Sports Hall of Honor in the fall of 2025.Â
Several walls around the athletic facilities are adorned with Primm's poem, including the Wellness and Athletics Center and the Sturgis Athletics Center.
"A Warrior is a courageous and fearless fighter who is persistently prepared for battle both mentally and physically. He/she is aggressive and does not take responsibilities lightly. He/she takes great pride in putting his/her family and teammates before his/her self and is willing to make sacrifices necessary to defend them. A Warrior is self-motivated and possesses a mindset that he/she cannot be defeated."
