Mission Statement
The Athletic Training Department, part of the Department of Athletics, strives to provide the best medical care possible to the intercollegiate student-athletes at Hendrix College. We aspire to achieve the highest standards of sports medicine care of athletic injuries and illnesses, while providing credible information and education to athletes. The purpose of the department is to respond to athletic injuries and to return the student-athlete to athletic participation as quickly and safely as possible.
Athletic Training services are provided at all home competitions and in-season practices. Responsibilities of the Hendrix College Sports Medicine Staff are: evaluation of athletic related injuries and illness, developing and implementing treatment and rehabilitation programs, maintaining medical records for student-athletes, providing emergency medical care, applying taping and bandaging techniques, and setting up physician referrals.
