Senior right side hitter Katie Bates averaged 3.00 kills per set and hit .352 as the Warriors went 3-1 during the week. On Tuesday at Philander Smith, the Austin, Texas recorded 14 kills and hit .387 in the first match, then hit .667 with eight kills in the second match. In a five-set loss to first place Berry on Friday, Bates recorded a career-high 16 kills and hit .297. She finished the week with 10 kills in a four-set win over Oglethorpe on Saturday.
