Junior Estrella Flores placed fifth in the javelin throw at the Rhodes Invitational on Saturday. Her mark of 33.55 meters (110 ft.-1 in.) leads the Southern Athletic Association. Flores, from Santa Fe, N.M., also placed 31st in the discus at 24.64 meters (80 ft.-10 in.).
