Casey Caton, of Rogers, Ark., was named the Hendrix Man of the Year at the Fourth Annual Senior Banquet on Friday. He was a two-time All-SAA First Team wide receiver and was the USA College Football Player of the Week Honorable Mention in November. He made 104 catches for 1,671 yards and 11 touchdowns in two seasons. He led the SAA in receiving yards and yards per game in 2013 and ranked 42nd in the nation in yards as a junior and 60th as a senior. In the classroom, Caton compiled a 3.91 GPA while majoring in English Literature. He was a two-time SAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection. Caton served as team captain and worked in the sports information office. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and volunteered for New Life Church, Hendrix College Miller Center and the Dixieland Community Garden Project in Rogers. Caton will play professional football in the Czech Republic over the summer, then attend law school at Pepperdine University in the fall.
