Freshman swimmer Caroline Forbes of Baton Rouge, La. broke two school records and came close to a third at Friday's 45th Annual Hendrix Classic. She broke an eight-year old record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.79, finishing fifth, beating out Anna Patterson's 2004 mark of 55.90.
Forbes was also part of the 400 yard medley relay with Jo Claire Robertson, Sydney Haldeman and Bayley Krell that shattered a 22-year old record with a time of 4:07.21, finishing fourth. The Warriors broke the old mark of 4:14.81 set in 1991 by more than seven seconds.
Forbes was also .19 seconds away from setting a new program best in the 50 yard freestyle, placing sixth in 25.44.
