Freshman point guard Preston Smith averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in the Warriors' road Southern Athletic Association games over the weekend. In Friday's game at Sewanee, the McKinney, Texas product had 17 points and three-rebounds. Smith connected on four three-pointers in the game. In Sunday's overtime loss at Centre, he added 19 points and dished out a season-high eight assists to go with two steals. For the week, Smith shot 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from the field and was 7-of-14 from behind the arc.
