Hendrix freshman Michael Spainhour recorded the best long jump in the Southern Athletic Association this season at Saturday’s Harding Invitational. Spainhour, from Greenbrier, Ark., jumped 6.73 meters (22 ft.-1 in.), breaking the Warriors’ NCAA Division III era record. He placed second in the event behind a Division II athlete. Spainhour also placed sixth in the triple jump at 12.84 meters (42 ft.-1.5 in.) and was fourth in the 100 meter dash in 11.59 seconds.
