Hendrix College Athletics

Freshman Sam Melhorn won two events at the Inaugural Hendrix Invitational over the weekend. Melhorn, from Knoxville, Tenn. was first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.28, just .7 seconds off the 36-year old school record. He also won the 200 breaststroke in 2:12.30. Melhorn was responsible for 94.5 points in seven events. He also took third in 2:01.07 in the 200 yard IM and was fourth in the 400 IM in 4:26.78.
