Sophomore Michael Spainhour earned All-SAA First Team honors by winning the long jump with a mark of 6.70 meters (21 ft.-11.75 in.) at the SAA Championships in Mount Berry, Ga. Spainhour, from Greenbrier, Ark., was also second with a triple jump 13.80 meters (45 ft.-3.5 in.). He broke his own school record in 10.91 seconds in the 100 meter dash, placing third. Spainhour also took third in the 200 in 22.34 seconds and was part of the conference champion 4x400 relay team and the third-place 4x100 relay.
