Senior starter Ted Smoyer earned his fifth win of the year in a 5-0 combined shutout of Rhodes on Friday night. The Simi Valley, Calif. native went eight innings, allowing just five hits and two walks while striking three. In his last four conference starts, Smoyer has a 3-1 record, 0.83 ERA, two complete games, a shutout and a combined shutout.
