Senior pitcher/infielder Ashley Halbert was named to the All-Southern Athletic Association First Team, CoSIDA Academic All-District Team and the SAA All-Tournament Team last week. The Crandall, Texas native she ranked fourth in the SAA with a .480 on-base percentage, sixth with 13 doubles and eighth with a .404 average. She also had 24 runs, 42 hits, two home runs and 23 runs batted in. In the circle, Halbert was third in the league with 70 strikeouts, fifth with 10 wins and eighth with a 3.35 earned run average
She has a 3.81 cumulative grade point average while majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
