Junior Elizabeth Krug became a national champion and a four-time All-American by winning the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in La Crosse, Wis. on May 23-24. The Heber Springs, Ark. native scored a school record 4,835 points, edging out 21 other student-athletes for the title. Krug ran the fastest 200 meter dash time, breaking the program record in 25.31 seconds. She also had the third-best javelin throw and fifth-best shot put. Krug also competed in the long jump, high jump, 800 meters and 100 meter hurdles.
