CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - For the seventh straight year, the Hendrix College cross country teams claimed the Crystal Trophy at the Arkansas Division III Championship against the University of the Ozarks Wednesday.
The men dominated the Eagles 16-39, taking the top four spots. Sophomore
Nathan Andress won the race with a time of 23:51.8, followed by freshman
Charlie Terry in 23:59.7 and freshman
Robbie Kiss in 24:36.9. Senior
Cam Meek ran the 4.1 mile course in 25:07.3, placing fourth. Freshman
Graham Anderson had a time of 27:26.2, finishing sixth.
The Warrior women edged out the Eagles 27-28 to win. Freshman
Mackenzie Gearin was the top finisher with a 5k time of 19:32.0. Sophomore
Caitlin Camper was runner-up in 19:41.1. Sophomore
Melissa Pizza finished sixth in 21:35.2 and freshman
Tel Johnson had a time of 22:36.7, placing eighth. Freshman Kayleigh Johnson took 10th in 24:08.0.
Hendrix will be off until Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Southern Athletic Association Championships in Jackson, Miss.
