FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Hendrix College women's lacrosse team defeated Franklin College 15-9 on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors (3-4) scored the first two goals of the game, but the Grizzlies (1-1) tied it back up. Hendrix scored three straight in the middle of the opening period, but Franklin scored three in the final six minutes of the half to make the game 5-5 at the break.

Jordan Rausch had one in the first 10 minutes of the second period, giving the Orange & Black control of the game at 9-5. After another Grizzlies goal, sophomores

Bridget Umble put the Warriors up 11-6.
Cali Wetli of Franklin scored twice to make the game 11-8 with 15 minutes left. Sophomore midfielder Katilyn Smith scored for the Warriors followed by a goal from the Grizzlies' Lexi Ingram to make the game 12-9 at the 8:34 mark. Freshman
Brooke Leahy came in for Hendrix and scored a pair 40 seconds a part with both assists coming from Umble. Rausch added a final goal with 1:24 left in the game.
Franklin outshot Hendrix 26-24 overall, but Hendrix had a 19-16 in shots on goal. The Grizzlies led in ground balls 18-10, but the Warriors had a 14-12 advantage in draw controls.
Hendrix Notes- Dasch led the Warriors with four goals, a season-high.
- Umble finished with three goals, two assists and a caused turnover.
- Frazier had two goals, two assists, three draws and caused a turnover.
- Smith had two goals, including a free-position shot, to become the Hendrix career-leader with 14 free-position goals. She also won four draw controls and had two ground balls.
- Rausch scored twice and caused a turnover.
- Junior defender Gabryle Pochron caused two turnovers and picked up a pair of ground balls.

Jesse Clark had four saves in the first half and recorded an assist in the second.

Alexis Truitt recorded three saves in the second half. She also had an assist.
