MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team lost to Berry College 20-10 in Southern Athletic Association Friday night.
The Warriors (6-5, 1-2) took a 4-2 lead early in the first quarter and led the Vikings (9-2, 3-0) at the end of the first.
Berry outscored Hendrix 7-1 in the second quarter to take a 10-5 advantage at the break. The hosts continued with nine goals, while the Orange & Black had five in the third quarter. The Vikings tacked on a final goal with 25 seconds left in the game.
For the game, the Warriors recorded 10 goals, seven assists, 30 shots, 19 on goal, 43 ground balls, 16 faceoffs won, 30 turnovers and 11 caused turnovers while going 14-of-28 on clears.
Berry had 20 goals, 13 assists, 57 shots, 33 on goal, 47 ground balls, 14 faceoffs, 18 turnovers and 19 caused turnovers and went 15-of-17 on clears.
