CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College softball team lost both games of a Southern Athletic Association double-header to #1 Berry College at Warrior Field Saturday. The Vikings (28-2, 10-0) defeated the Warriors (12-15, 4-7) 10-0 in six innings in the opener, then won 3-1 in game two.
In game one, Hendrix sophomore pitcher
Emily Stockalper held Berry hitless through the first three innings, before allowing five runs on five hits in the fourth. The Vikings scored five more runs on six hits in the top of the fifth.
Berry's Kassie Howard (11-1) struck out five, giving up two walks and a hit in five innings. Stockalper (8-8) allowed five hits, five runs, three walks and struck out two in four frames to take the loss.
Hendrix Game 1 Notes
- Sophomore catcher
Karli Sewell and Stockalper had the only hits for the Warriors.
- Senior second baseman
Victoria Hughes and junior right fielder Bryanna Carlilse each had a sac bunt.
- Freshman center fielder
Aubrey Brink was hit by a pitch and drew a walk.
- Freshman shortstop
Taylor Oglesby also drew a walk and senior third baseman
Sydney Ozersky was hit by a pitch.
Berry Game 1 Notes
- Second baseman Kylie Aiken went hit two doubles, drove in three runs and stole a base.
- Kayla Sangrey had a single and a double and scored twice.
- Third baseman Katlin Seger drove in three runs with a double.
- Right fielder Karlie Jarrett went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base.

Berry scored the first run of game two in the top of the first after two errors. They added two more in the fourth inning on three hits, a walk and a sac fly.
Hendrix scored in the bottom of the sixth when Hughes led off with a walk, was bunted over by Carlisle and crossed the plate on an error on an Ozersky ground ball.
Marie Collop (10-1) gave up two hits, an unearned run and a walk with nine strikeouts in the win. Sophomore
Savannah Draud (2-4) pitched well in the loss, allowing five hits, two earned runs and two walks with five strikeouts.
Hendrix Game 2 Notes
- Ozersky and Brink had the Warriors only hits.
- Carlisle recorded her 14th sac bunt of the season, one off the school record.
- Hughes drew a walk.
Berry Game 2 Notes
- Collop went 2-for-3 at the plate.
- Aiken recorded a triple.
- Center fielder Brittany Ferrell drove in a run on a sac fly.
