Conway, AR - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team hosted the Augustana Vikings on Tuesday evening in a non-conference match-up. The Warriors put together a string effort, and ended the game fighting hard, but it just wasn't enough as they fell 10-6.
Just as they did in their previous home contest, Hendrix got on the board first when
Drew Scanlan scored to go up 1-0.
The Warriors answered with another quick goal from juniorÂ
Dominic Dachille. Scanlan would score the final goal of the first quarter, inching the Warriors further ahead 4-2. Augustana added three goals of their own in the second quarter to go into halftime up by one.
The third quarter started similarly to the first with Hendrix jumping out early, this time getting a goal from
Garrett Brown knotting the game up at five.
Augustana once again had an answer, this time in the form of a 3-0 run for the rest of the quarter.
Hendrix, looking for their third win of the season would fight hard in the fourth quarter. Dachille earned his second goal of the game however it wouldn't be enough as HC would ultimately fall 10-6.
Brown scored two goals on nine shots. Junior
Alex Wood had a team high three ground balls.
Freshman keeper
Patrick Adamo made six saves as the Warriors record goes to 2-3 overall.
HC will next take on Dallas on March 3rd. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
