Danville, KY - The Hendrix men's lacrosse team took on Centre Friday night. The Warriors entered play with a record of 6-7, 1-2 SAA.
The Warriors were coming off a tough loss in a SAA Conference match-up against Rhodes College and looked to come out with a different result today.Â
Centre came out firing, scoring two goals during the first period.
The Warriors got on the board courtesy of
Cole Cramer with 49 seconds left in the first period. After the end of the first Hendrix trailed 2-1.
Drew Scanlan scored five minutes into the second period for the Warriors off an assist from
Garrett Brown. Hendrix now trailed 3-2.
At the end of the second period Hendrix would be all tied up with Centre 5-5.
Cramer scored for the Warriors on a man-up opportunity and put Hendrix in the lead as the score stood at 6-5.
Centre answered back with a pair of their own and extended their lead over Hendrix 7-6.
The Warriors scored another goal in the beginning of the fourth period and tied back up with Centre 7-7.
The Colonels would score four more goals in the fourth period to ultimately take the 11-8 victory.Â
Patrick Adamo played strong in the net for the Warriors as he made four saves.
The Warriors will be back in action Sunday when they take on Sewanee in Sewanee, TN.
