MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Looking to climb higher in the Southern Athletic Association softball standings with three games left, Hendrix battled Rhodes from Memphis, Tenn. Saturday after inclement weather pushed one game to be played tomorrow.
Aubrey Brink launched her third home run of the year in the third inning to put Hendrix up 3-0 and the Warriors never looked back, taking down Rhodes, 6-1, Friday in the rain. With the win, Hendrix improves to 18-16 on the season including a 9-7 mark in SAA play while Rhodes falls to 23-13 on the year with a 9-6 mark in conference.
Laura Mortan finished 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored while Brink tied a season-best four RBIs in the five-run victory.

- After getting in a jam in the first, Draud quickly retired the Lynx in the second inning.
- In the third frame, Mortan led off the inning with a walk before Rivera reached on an error. Brink'st three-run home run blast quickly gave the Warriors the 3-0 edge.
- Draud gave up an RBI double in the fifth but only allowed two hits total in the final two innings of work en rout to picking up her sixth win of the year.
- Mortan finished the game batting 3-for-3 at the plate while also recording three runs against the Lynx Friday.
- While Brink added four RBIs, Hunt and Rivera added an RBI and a base hit each as well.
- With just two games left on the regular season, Hendrix is currently in fourth place in the SAA standings; one-half of a game behind Rhodes for the third-place spot.
