ROME, Ga. - Hendrix men's lacrosse tallied two goals in the opening half of action but were outscored by 9-4 in the final 30 minutes as the the No. 3-seeded Vikings defeated the No. 6-seeded Warriors, 15-6 in Rome, Ga. in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Championships. Hendrix finishes the season with a 5-11 mark while Berry improves to 9-7 and will play in the semifinals of the conference tournament.
Alec Davis tallied three goals for Hendrix on the day while
Drew Scanlan scored two.
Max Lynch added a score against the Vikings Saturdy as well. With the loss, Hendrix's 2019 season has come to an end.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hendrix grabbed the early 1-0 lead after a score by Davis but four straight goals by Berry gave the Vikings the . 4-1 advantage with 12:22 left until halftime.
- With 10:31 left in the half, Scanlan accounted for his first score of the day; a man-up goal.
- Four straight scores by the Vikings allowed for the 8-2 lead by Berry with 12:17 left in the third period.
- A 7-1 run by Berry allowed for the Vikings' 15-6 victory Saturday from Rome, Ga.

Jack Gorman and
Cole Cramer both tallied two assists for the Warriors Saturday.

Dominic Dachille picked up a team-high eight ground balls while Jackson Schednier accounted for seven.
- Dachille also accounted for four caused turnovers while also tallying eight face-offs Saturday against Berry.

Taylor Noack carded 17 saves Saturday in all 60 minutes of action for Hendrix.
- With the loss, Hendrix's 2019 campaign has come to an end.
