ATLANTA, Ga. - In the second game of the year, Hendrix traveled to Atlanta, Ga. to take on Oglethorpe in the Southern Athletic Association opener. Oglethorpe scored eight first half goals and held the 8-4 lead at the break as the Stormy Petrels recorded the 13-10 win over Hendrix Saturday. With the loss, Hendrix falls to 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in SAA play while Oglethorpe improves to 3-2 on the year and 1-0 in conference games.
Alison Watanabe and
Hannah Burroughs scored three goals for Hendrix while
Calah Justice added two.

Sophie Mazzaro put the Warriors up 1-0, the Stormy Petrels carded seven unanswered goals to take a commanding 7-1 lead midway through the opening half.
- Burroughs scored two of the final three goals for Hendrix in the first half as the Warriors trailed 8-4 at the break.
- After Burroughs scored her third goal of the day early in the second half and Watanabe scored her second, Oglethorpe carded a 4-0 run to hold a 12-6 lead with 21:53 left in the game.
- Watanabe scored her third goal of the day moments later while
Brenna Kuenzi scored her first collegiate goal four minutes later as the Warriors trailed 12-8 with 17 minutes left.
