MONTGOMERY, Ala. - In its second season of existence, Hendrix picked up its first dual match win in program history in its season opener after taking out NAIA member Mobile (Ala.), 4-1, at Alice Reynolds Beach Volleyball Courts on the first day of the Huntingdon (Ala.) Tournament. The Warriors dropped their final dual match of the day, 3-2, to NAIA member William Carey (Miss.).

"I'm very proud of the way my team fought today," Hendrix head coach M.C. Parker said. "We have such a young team, and to see the way they stepped up in pressure situations in their first collegiate match this year was really exciting. I'm hoping we can snag some more wins tomorrow."

Hendrix concludes play in the tournament Sunday with dual matches against Huntingdon at 11 a.m. CT and NCAA Division II Montevallo (Ala.) at 1:15 p.m.
