Hendrix rolls Centenary; wins third in a row

SHREVEPORT, La. - Hendrix won its third-straight game overall and improved to 6-0 all-time against Centenary (La.) following Thursday's 20-3 win at Mayo Field. The Warriors have outscored the Gents 148-10 in six matchups.

Spencer Dorfneilsen, who set Hendrix (3-1) records for goals (9) and points (13) in the 25-3 victory over Centenary (1-6) March 4 at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium, scored or assisted on six of Hendrix's seven first-quarter goals Thursday.

The Warriors led 11-0 at halftime and by 14 before the Gents cracked the scoreboard with 4:14 left in the third quarter on a Kyle Comi goal.

Alec Davis scored a hat trick in the second and fourth quarters for Hendrix, as he and Max Lynch each finished with six goals.

Dorfneilsen totaled five goals on only five shots on goal to go along with three assists. Klaus Rowan had two goals and as many assists. Ethan Austin came up with a goal and assist. Tyler Jones added an assist.

Willliam Parsons and Talkin Polka each grabbed four ground balls in the win.

Michael DeCaro won 11-of-15 faceoffs for the Orange and Black, while Alexander Wyskida won 7-of-11.

Hendrix outshot Centenary, 41-20 and grabbed 23 ground balls compared to just 15 by the Gents.

Garrison Winer (3-1) went the distance between the pipes and made six saves in the victory.

Wikenson Julien netted two goals in the loss.

Thomas Siskron (1-6) made 11 stops in net in 60 minutes in defeat.

The Warriors open Southern Athletic Association play March 26 at Oglethorpe (Ga.) at 6 p.m. CT.
