GEORGETOWN, Texas - Hendrix's Lillian Hemingway tied a career-high with four goals Friday despite her team's 26-8 loss to Southwestern (Texas) at Varsity Field.

Raven Garcia totaled 10 goals and five assists for Southwestern (4-4). Deanna Hames scored six goals. Emma Pertuit picked up six ground balls and had 10 draw controls. 

Sofia Valdespino (4-3) made six saves in the first 38:43 in net for the Pirates before Tessa Lewis played the final 21:17.

Hemingway also had four goals in Hendrix's (1-8) season-opening win against Southwestern at Warrior Lacrosse Field. Brenna Kuenzi tallied a pair of goals, and Lilah Biggers and Alison Watanabe each had one. Watanabe, Caitlan Hillier and Mary Helen VanHoy netted one assist apiece. Kuenzi, Zoe Mojaver and Bri McDonough each picked up three ground balls. Kuenzi also had three draw controls.

Alexis Williams (1-8) went the distance between the pipes for the Warriors and made eight saves.

Hendrix looks to conclude its season with a fifth-straight win, including second-consecutive on the road, over Dallas (Texas) when the two teams meet Saturday starting at 11 a.m. CT.
