CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix's Emma Self played her first collegiate doubles and singles matches Friday against NAIA member John Brown (Ark.) inside Hatcher Tennis Center. The result: 2-0.

Self paired with Avery Stephens to win on the two-line against the Golden Eagles' tandem of Erin Kuykendall and Caroline Hillock, 8-1. The Warriors' No. 3 doubles team of McKenzie McCready and Ayden Huckelbury defeated Ellie Swan and Grace Lindquist, 8-5.

In No. 3 singles, Self defeated Abigail Woodring in three sets: 6-3, 3-6 and 10-3.

In No. 1 singles, Eleanor Burks of Hendrix (0-2) swept Sydney Smith of John Brown (1-2) by scores of 7-5 and 6-0.

The Warriors travel to Webster (Mo.) on Feb. 18. First serve is set for 4 p.m. CT.
