ELSAH, Ill. - Hendrix defeated Principia (Mo.), 5-4, on Saturday at Hexberg Tennis Center.

Hendrix (2-2) won two doubles matches. In No. 2 doubles, Avery Stephens and Emma Self defeated Veronica Volkart and Kelsie Huss of Principia (2-4-1) in No. 2 doubles, 8-4. In No. 3 doubles, McKenzie McCready and Grace House defeated Caroline Carlson and Ruth Hummell, 8-0.

The Warriors won three singles matches. In No. 3 singles, Self defeated Volkart, 6-4 and 6-1. In No. 5 singles, Stephens defeated Carlson, 6-1 and 6-0. In No. 6 singles, Taylor Harbin defeated Hummell, 6-1 and 6-4.

Hendrix hosts NAIA member Texas A&M-Texarkana on Feb. 25. First serve inside Hatcher Tennis Center is set for 9 a.m. CT.
