CONWAY, Ark. - East Texas Baptist defeated Hendrix, 5-4, on Saturday at UCA Tennis Courts, snapping the Warriors' dual match win streak of four in the first meeting between the teams in a decade.

Emma Self won her doubles and singles matches for Hendrix (6-5). She paired with Avery Stephens in No. 2 doubles to defeat Corrine Hall and Andrea Alvarez of East Texas Baptist (2-7), 8-2. Self swept Alvarez in No. 3 singles, 6-2 and 7-5. 

In No. 1 singles, the Warriors' Eleanor Burks won in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-1. In No. 6 singles, Sarah Morris won in three sets: 6-2, 1-6 and 1-0 (10-6).

Hendrix hits the road for its next three dual matches, starting April 2 when the Warriors resume Southern Athletic Association action at Oglethorpe (Ga.). First serve is set for 9 a.m. CT.
