CONWAY, Ark. - The Warriors split a pair of dual matches Saturday in the Hendrix Beach Tournament at Central Arkansas' Beach Bear Sand Courts. Hendrix lost to NAIA member Park (Mo.), 3-2, but rebounded for a 5-0 win over NAIA member Oklahoma Wesleyan.
Against the Pirates,
Camryn Presley and
Abby Collier won No. 1 doubles, 21-18 and 21-17. In No. 2 doubles,
Liz Roy and
Kyler Greenlee of Hendrix (12-7) won each set 21-15.
The Warriors'
Meghan Fuller-Freeman and
Avery Evans-Brooks won an exhibition match, 21-16 and 21-8.
Park (10-3) won Nos. 3, 4 and 5 doubles in straight sets.
Against Oklahoma Wesleyan (3-13), Presley and Collier won No. 1 doubles, 21-18, 17-21 and 15-8. In No. 2 doubles, Roy and Greenlee won 20-22, 21-15 and 15-10. In No. 3 doubles,
Morgan Ford and
Isabella Eurgil won 21-13 and 21-8. In No. 4 doubles, Fuller-Freeman and Evans-Brooks won 21-14 and 21-15. In No. 5 doubles,
Hayden Garris and
Lauren Rothe won each set 21-12.
The Warriors conclude the tournament Sunday hosting Park in two dual matches at 9 and 11 a.m. CT, respectively.
