SPRINGFIELD, MO. - Hendrix split a pair of dual matches Saturday in the Missouri State Tournament at Allison Sand Volleyball Courts. The Warriors lost to the Tigers, 3-2, before defeating NAIA member Ottawa (Kan.), 5-0.
Hendrix (14-8) improves to 3-0 against the Braves.
Against the Tigers,
Camryn Presley and
Abby Collier won No. 1 doubles in three sets: 22-24, 21-13 and 16-14. In No. 3 doubles,
Isabella Eurgil and
Liz Roy won in straight sets, 23-21 and 21-14.
Missouri State (11-10) won two matches in straight sets.
Against the Braves, Presley and Collier won No. 1 doubles 21-11 and 21-15. In No. 2 doubles,
Morgan Ford and
Kyler Greenlee won 22-20, 14-21 and 15-11. In No. 3 doubles, Roy and Eurgil won 21-18, 15-21 and 15-11. In No. 4 doubles,Â

Eliana Oden won 21-13 and 21-16. In No. 5 doubles,
Meghan Fuller-Freeman and
Avery Evans-Brooks won 22-20, 14-21 and 15-10.
Hendrix begins pool play in the AVCA Small College Beach Championship, presented by the United States Marine Corps, on April 15 with three matches at Hickory Point Beach Volleyball Complex in Tavares, Fla. The Warriors face Huntingdon (Ala.) at 9 a.m. CT, LaGrange (Ga.) at 11 a.m. and Berry (Ga.) at 2 p.m.
