Conway, Ark. - Coming off a 2-0 start to the season, Hendrix Women's Lacrosse hosted Oglethorpe to open up play in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).

Sophia Smith made her 2023 debut and netted two for the Warriors, but it would not be enough as Oglethorpe raced out to a 10-1 lead at halftime and left Conway 18-5 winners.

Hendrix also got goals from Alaina Palmer, Lillian Sonner, and the reigning SAA Offensive Player of the Week, Peyton Refling.

The Orange and Black scooped up 8 ground balls on 13 turnovers while putting 12 shots on goal.

Hendrix will be back in action on Wednesday for a midweek non-conference contest with Culver Stockton.
