Conway, Ark. - Hendrix hosted Birmingham-Southern (BSC) and Millsaps for a two-match homestand at the Hatcher Tennis Center last weekend, looking for a couple wins in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) before tournament play commences in a couple weeks.
The Warriors dropped their match to BSC 6-3 before falling to Millsaps the following day 7-2.
Hendrix got a win in the No. 2 doubles via
Avery Stephens and
Eleanor Burks as they cruised to an 8-3 victory.
Burks and
Emma Self also picked up wins in the No. 1 singles and No. 4 singles, respectively.
The following day, Hendrix won 2 of 3 doubles matches versus Millsaps but was swept in the singles round.
McKenzie McCready and
Campbell Christensen defeated the Majors' No. 1 doubles pairing 8-4.
Eleanor Burks and
Avery Stephens won the No. 2 doubles 8-3.
Hendrix will host Oglethorpe and Berry next weekend, one week before SAA tournament play begins.
