Conway, Ark. - Hendrix picked up its third-consecutive win on Saturday afternoon, defeating Carthage 15-13 in the Warriors' first game at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium this season.

Jordan Drumheller's side fell behind two goals early, but Nick Quarles quickly responded with two unassisted goals to even the scoring at 2-2. Maximus LaMendola gave Hendrix the lead with 3:23 left in the first quarter.

Carthage equalized not long after, but the Warriors closed out the opening period with two goals in the final minute, the first by Austin Williams on a fabulous solo effort before Klaus Rowan tacked on another off a man-up opportunity with just over twenty seconds remaining.

Both teams netted two goals apiece in the second period to send Hendrix into halftime with a 7-5 lead.

LaMendola got the scoring started in the second half. JT Hutto added another just minutes later for the first goal of his career. Those were two of six goals the home side scored in what was a high-scoring third quarter.

Williams and LaMendola added goals in the fourth quarter to give the Warriors a 15-10 lead with just under ten minutes remaining.

Carthage gave Hendrix a scare late with three goals in a two-minute span, but the Warriors were able to keep the Firebirds scoreless for the last five minutes of regulation to secure the win.

The win improves Hendrix to 3-2 on the year. They will face Centenary in a midweek contest in Shreveport, La. before heading to Georgetown, Texas to take on the United States Merchant Military Academy (USMMA) and Southwestern.
