Conway, Ark. - Hendrix was defeated 21-2 by Oglethorpe on Saturday afternoon at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
The Stormy Petrels scored early and often and took a commanding 6-0 lead by the the 5:34 mark in the first period.
Peyton Refling took advantage of a man-up opportunity with 2:47 to play in the period to put Hendrix on the board, and
Eliza Thacker scored just a minute later to trim the deficit to four and give the Warriors some life. But that life was short-lived as Oglethorpe shut out Hendrix for the rest of the match while piling on fifteen more goals to breeze to a blowout win.
Addey Bolz made 14 saves in goal, while Refling caused three turnovers and won six draw controls.
Hendrix (7-7, 0-5 SAA) secured its first winning season since 2016 and will enter the Southern Athletic Association playoffs as the sixth seed. They will head to Memphis next weekend for their quarterfinal match versus the third-seeded Berry Vikings on Friday.
