Conway, Ark. - Hendrix was unable to capitalize on yet another great start as they fell 17-3 to the Sewanee Tigers on Sunday afternoon at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
The game remained scoreless through the first ten minutes until
Klaus Rowan broke the deadlock at the 4:27 mark.
Bennett Davidson got on the scoresheet just three minutes later to put the Warriors two goals ahead.
Ian Domeika was busy through the opening fifteen minutes, making several key saves to keep the Tigers at bay. A couple more timely saves meant that the Warriors would head into the second frame with their two-goal lead.
From there, the levee broke, as Sewanee scored two goals within the first two minutes of the period, and took the lead midway through the quarter. Hendrix kept the game at 3-2 for much of the quarter until the Tigers found the net with 1:43 left. They added two more goals in the final minute of the half to take a 6-2 lead into hafltime.
Sewanee blanked Hendrix for a majority of the second half while scoring eleven more goals across the final thirty minutes.
Joseph Davis netted his first goal of the match with thirty seconds remaining to score Hendrix's final goal of the match.
Hendrix (4-9, 1-3 SAA) will have a week off before hosting Rhodes on April 19 at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium for their regular season finale.
