CONWAY - Hendrix got off the mark for the 2026 season on Thursday evening with a 21-9 win over Spalding at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.

It took Hendrix no time to get on the board as Austin Williams scored in under thirty seconds after the Warriors took the opening face-off. Williams was at it again just a minute later to put Hendrix 2-0 ahead. Matthew Parsons put his name on the scoresheet not long after before Spalding scored its opening goal of the contest. Parsons restored the three-goal advantage a minute later, and Joey Davis extended the lead thirty seconds later. Nicholas Smith and Williams both netted goals to put Hendrix up 7-2, but the Eagles were able to get one back just before the quarter expired to cut the lead to five.

The Warriors scored six unanswered goals to dominate the second frame, going into halftime up 13-2.

Joey Davis scored the opening goal of the second half to put Hendrix up by 12 before Spalding stopped the bleeding with a man-up goal. Ethan Miller netted his first two goals of the evening, and Williams added another to make it 17-3.

Nicholas Smith, Zachary Cox, and Parsons all scored in the final frame to cap off the big win.

Cooper Littleton made the start in the cage on Thursday evening and got the winning decision of his career while amassing 9 saves. Kellan Harger made two saves in relief of Littleton.
